This animation video is a presentation of “Thank You, Me.” book for children and adults, written and illustrated by Elena Reznikova, as an art with a purpose project.
The book is a very simple meditation; in the few minutes it takes to read the book with a child, you have already practiced gratitude and you have introduced it to the next generation.

Source materials provided for animation were print ready designs of the book pages. With the help of skills acquired in the printing shop, I prepared the files for use in animation. The hardest phase of that process was extracting elements to the separate layers – I had to redraw all the obscured parts of the background and each character, to be able to rig and animate their movements.
Working on the animations themselves was a lot of fun, especially with the Giraffe. I caught the rhythm from the very beginning and my fellow composer Konstantin Zhunin offered a great tune to match it.
