Hired to design and create VFx, SFx and character animations for video game to be distributed on Steam, I used modular design approach to make my contribution to the project resource efficient. I narrowed the types of assets used to a few unified categories and developed integration methods that allowed swift color and timing changes, making hundreds of visual effects fast and easy to handle.
Developed a method of character animation that allowed changing any illustration block with ease, be it piece of armor, face feature or a limb. This approach opened vast customization possibilities and allowed parallel work of animator and illustrator on the same character.
Created logo animations and edited in-game screen captures into promotion videos, while using AI to generate voice over. Once I found the right AI generator, all the process was unexpectedly comfortable and the narration – emotional enough to suit the needs of communication.
